Stamping 4 Processes And 13 Details

Time:2023-09-07
Before stamping, there must be plate straightening and adjusting process steps or automatic correction tooling present to ensure that the raw material is flat and smooth into the mold cavity.

Stamping process can be divided into four basic processes:

1. Punching: the stamping process that makes the sheet material realize separation (including punching, dropping, trimming, cutting, etc.).

2. Bending: the stamping process of bending the sheet into a certain angle and shape along the bending line.

3. deep drawing: the plane sheet into a variety of open hollow parts, or hollow parts of the shape and size of the further change of the stamping process.

4. partial forming: with a variety of different nature of the local deformation to change the shape of the blank or stamping stamping process (including flanging, expansion, leveling and shaping process, etc.)

Stamping process details:

1. Before stamping, there must be plate straightening and adjusting process steps or automatic correction tooling present to ensure that the raw material is flat and smooth into the mold cavity.

2. The position of the strip on the feeder clamps needs to be clearly defined, and the width gap between the two sides of the strip and the feeder clamps needs to be clearly defined and ensured.

3. Stamping debris is cleaned off in a timely and efficient manner without mixing or sticking to the product.

4. 100% of the material in the width direction of the coil needs to be monitored and controlled to prevent defects in the stamped product due to lack of fullness of the raw material.

5. The end of the coil is monitored so that the stamping process stops automatically when the coil reaches the end.

6. The operating instructions should clearly define how the product will react when an abnormal stop occurs and the product is left in the mold.

7. Before the strip enters the mold, there must be error-proof tooling to ensure that the raw material enters the correct position inside the mold.

8. Continuous mold or feed mold need to have step-by-step position monitoring, if the position does not go to the timely alarm or automatic shutdown.

9. Stamping molds must be equipped with detectors for detecting whether there are products stuck in the mold cavity, if there is stuck, the equipment automatically stop.

10. Whether the stamping process parameters are monitored, when abnormal parameters appear, the products produced under these parameters are automatically scrapped.

11. Whether the management of stamping dies is effectively executed (planning and implementation of preventive maintenance, spot check confirmation of spare parts)

12. The air gun used to blow away debris must be clearly defined in terms of blow-up position and direction.

13. The finished product collection process must not risk damaging the product.
